John Doe
was a non-commercial
space for exhibitions, located in the Hoffeld St. 42 from 2001 to 2002. It
was oriented
towards contemporary art and the artists who were invited to participate
were usually in the first years after their studies in the academies. The
gallery was curated by Doreet LeVitte Harten and Markus Mascher and was
partially sponsored by the culture department of the city of Düsseldorf.
Exhibitions were 3 weeks to one mounth, starting with an opening, after
which the gallery was closed but the show is visible through the glass
front.
